We are the proud owners of the Once Upon A Child in Ocoee, FL which is
in the West Orlando area. I was a 2nd grade teacher for 7 1/2 years
before I decided to open this business. I always wanted my own
business and knew it had to involve children. After many ideas running
through my head, I finally woke up one morning with the idea. The idea
to open a children's resale store came after having my own son Caden.
He had tons of toys and clothing that were still in great condition
that needed a home. I researched many consignment stores and came
across a couple franchises. I fell in love with the Once Upon A Child
concept. I also loved that Once Upon A Child pays same day, unlike
consignment stores when you have to wait for the merchandise to sell
before the customer makes their money. My wonderful husband listened
to my ideas and said, "Let's do it!"
I love my job, still get to see children on a daily basis, and love
interacting with new moms, grandparents, and families. I am very
fortunate to have a great staff that can run the store while I am
