At Once Upon A Child you'll find a huge selection of gently used kids clothing, toys, furniture and equipment at up to 70% off retail! We're not your typical secondhand store. The items that we buy and sell are next to new, good quality, clean and have been checked for safety standards.
No appointment necessary - we buy every day and will pay you on the spot! Check with your local store for additional details.

Selling Tips
- In order for us to offer the latest and greatest in styles at value prices, clothing and accessories must be purchased within the last five years.
- Equipment and toys must meet current safety standards and include all parts. Not sure if your item qualifies? Bring it in and we’ll check it out!
- Check out our what we buy page to see what types of items we buy and sell, we know we buy items you have not even thought of!
- Be sure your apparel items are freshly laundered and in good condition – no stains, fading, or excessive wear.
- Clean toys and equipment sell best.
- It is most efficient for us to review items folded neatly in a box, bin or tote. Please, no hangers or garbage bags.
- It’s always a good idea to call us to find out about what we buy.
TIPS FOR BRINGING IN YOUR ITEMS
- Clothing must be freshly laundered and layed flat or folded in a box, laundry basket, or tupperware/bin container. No bags or hangers. This allows us to process your buy much faster.
- Toys must be clean and in working order with all the pieces.
- Equipment and furniture must be clean, meet our current safety standards, and in working condition.
- We work on a same day service, so please be sure to come on a day you can either stay in the store or leave and come back to review your quote before we close for the day.
- If you accept your quote we pay cash if your quote is $25 or less or we will write you a check if your quote is over $25.
- If you would like to turn your $ into store credit, we will add 10% to your quote and you will have 1 year to spend your store credit.
